HC orders security for scrap dealer who exposed DIG Bhullar

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has directed the Punjab Government and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to provide security to scrap dealer Akash Batta, whose complaint led to the arrest of Ropar Range DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar in a bribery case.
The CBI has released a statement outlining the recoveries made during searches at Bhullar’s residence. According to the agency, officials seized Rs.7.5 crore in cash, 2.5 kilograms of gold, 26 luxury vehicles, and documents related to over 50 properties. The agency also carried out an extensive recovery operation at Bhullar’s house in Samrala, where additional assets were unearthed.
