Congress provides aide of Rs 1.02 cr to 41 Karur victim families

Congress on Tuesday provided Rs 1.02 crore to next of kin of victims who died in the tragic stampede in Karur during actor turned politician Vijay's TVK programme in Karur.
Congress general secretary Organisation KC Venugopal along with Tamil Nadu incharge Girish Chodankar, state unit chief K. Selvaperunthagai, CLP Leader Rajesh Kumar, Karur MP Jothimani, and other prominent party leaders met the victim families.
The party stated that in a compassionate gesture of solidarity, the Indian National Congress today distributed financial assistance to the families affected by the tragic stampede in Karur.
