CELEBRATE SWEETLY: HEALTHY FESTIVE DESSERTS TO TRY THIS SEASON

While sweet treats are an essential part of celebrations, they don’t always have to come loaded with refined sugar, unhealthy fats, and excess calories. With a little creativity and some mindful swaps, you can enjoy all the flavors of the season without compromising your health goals. Here are some wholesome and delightful festive dessert ideas that are big on taste and light on guilt:

A quick and nutrient-dense sweet, these ladoos are made using naturally sweet dates, a mix of nuts like almonds, cashews, and pistachios, and a hint of cardamom.

Why it’s healthy:

No added sugar, high in fiber and healthy fats, and packed with energy—perfect for festive snacking.

Tip: Roast the nuts lightly for added crunch and flavor.

This warm, comforting dessert is perfect for cooler evenings. Core an apple, fill it with chopped nuts, raisins, a touch of honey or jaggery, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Bake until soft.

Why it’s healthy:

Apples are high in fiber and antioxidants. Cinnamon helps regulate blood sugar levels, and the minimal added sweetener keeps it light.

Replace traditional rice with millet or quinoa and sweeten with jaggery instead of sugar. Add grated coconut and cardamom for flavor, and cook it in almond or coconut milk.

Why it's healthy:
