Bomb explosion in Munich suspends Oktoberfest festival

An explosion in the German city of Munich forced the temporary closure of Oktoberfest, the world’s largest beer festival.
"The festival site will remain closed until at least 17:00 (15:00 GMT) on Wednesday due to an unspecified bomb threat," Munich Mayor Dieter Reiter announced.
