BLASTS USING WALKIE-TALKIE AND PAGERS INTENSIFY ISRAEL-HAMAS WAR, UNSOLICITED COMMENTS FROM IRAN DISAPPOINT INDIA

This week, a tragic series of explosions involving walkie talkies and pagers used by Hezbollah members resulted in the deaths of at least 30 individuals and left over 3,000 others injured, heightening concerns regarding a potential escalation into Lebanon’s fullscale conflict with Israel.

This week, on Wednesday, a deadly explosion in Beirut claimed the lives of at least 20 people and injured more than 450 when some walkie talkies used by Hezbollah were exploded. These explosions followed a day after the blasts of thousands of pagers across Lebanon used by Hezbollah cadre, which resulted in 12 fatalities and approximately 2,800 injuries. The sources revealed that Israel triggered these blasts remotely. Hezbollah has declared that Israel bears “full responsibility for this criminal aggression” and has pledged to seek revenge. Reports indicate that during the explosions, Israeli operatives remotely triggered explosives that had been concealed within a shipment of 5,000 pagers intended to be received by Hezbollah prior to their entry into the country. In an effort to circumvent Israeli monitoring of mobile communications, Hezbollah members had resorted to using pagers and other lowtech communication methods. However, Israel used this as an opportunity and triggered the explosions of the equipment.
