Benjamin Netanyahu orders strong action after Hamas violates ceasefire

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday convened an emergency meeting with Defence Minister Yoav Gallant and senior security officials after reports emerged that Hamas had violated the ceasefire.

In a post on X, Netanyahu said he had directed the security establishment to take “strong action against terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip.”
The development comes amid renewed tension in the region. Palestinian officials have alleged that the Israeli army committed 47 ceasefire violations since the truce took effect in early October, resulting in 38 deaths and 143 injuries, according to Al Jazeera.
