A ground-level survey of the Badaun Parliamentary constituency was conducted by India News to analyse the performance of Sanghamitra Maurya, the Member of Parliament from Badaun, and gather voters’ feedback about him.

Sanghamitra Maurya, an Indian politician, secured a seat in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of India’s Parliament, representing Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, in the 2019 general elections as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Badaun, often hailed as the cradle of Sufi saints and esteemed personalities, holds a globally renowned status owing to its distinctive cultural identity. Formerly recognized as the heart of Rohilkhand, this city in Western Uttar Pradesh boasts a rich historical legacy that extends through various eras. Notably, during the rule of Iltutmish from 1210 AD to 1214 AD, Badaun proudly served as the capital of the Delhi Sultanate for a significant four-year period.
Despite its historical prominence, Badaun experiences a perpetually heightened political climate, contributing to its dynamic and ever-evolving landscape throughout the years.
