Badaruddin Ajmal, Chief of the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF), has urged members of the Muslim community in Assam to refrain from train travel during the month of the Ayodhya Ram Temple inauguration to prevent "any untoward incident." Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on 22 January.

In the midst of the consecration of Ram Temple, PM Modi urged everyone to celebrate 22 January just like Diwali to mark the auspicious moment.
Speaking at a gathering in Assam's Barpeta district, Ajmal's statement comes ahead of the scheduled inauguration of the Ram temple on January 22, to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and an estimated 60,000 people.
