Islands welcome first cruise ships as season starts

THE Isles of Scilly welcomed the first cruise calls of 2025 last week, marking the start of a busy season ahead.
Four cruise ship visited the islands, bringing a total of 2,733 passengers.
To mark the start of the special season on Saturday, April 26, a cruise ship docked alongside St Mary's Quay for the first time in decades.
Due to Ocean Nova's relatively small size and the high spring tide aligning with her departure on Saturday afternoon, the ship safely docked alongside the quay.
Throughout the week, MS Ambience, MS Borealis, Silver Endeavour and MV Ocean Nova arrived.
