RIDES: MUZI EXPECTING TO COME AWAY WITH A COUPLE OF WINNERS ON NINE-RACE CARD

- Muzi Yeni

Standout bets at Turffontein

Racing on the Highveld this weekend takes place at Turffontein on the inside track on Sunday while racing tomorrow will belong to Hollywoodbets Kenilworth.

Their field sizes are not massive at this time of the year, but if all things go according to plan it could be a favourable day for punters.

The headliner on the nine-race card is Race 9, a Graduation Plate over 1200m, where there are some classy horses taking their places.

I have four rides on the card and I believe I have some outstanding chances so I'll be hoping for a good day.

Race 1 is a Maiden Plate for three-year-olds over 1200m and it's essential to watch the betting support and canter past for the best guide to the chances of the unraced horses.

Of the raced runners, Slender Silhouette brings by far the best form into the race and if she is anywhere near full fitness after a small break, she will take all the beating and will rate one of the best bets on the card.

Actuary ran a lovely race on debut just over a week ago and if the race does not come too soon, he looks to be the immediate danger.

Race 2 is a Maiden Plate for three-year-old fillies over 1200m and my best bet on the card comes up in the form of Saragossa Cat.

She ran a super race on debut, showing blistering speed before getting tired late, and with the experience under her belt and with the expected natural improvement, she is a banker in all bets and will prove very hard to beat.

Amaze Me ran a decent race last time danger.

World Order ran his best race to date last time out and a repeat of that will see him finish in the money.
