JBay a Town of Dreams

It is often said following a person's death that his or her passing leaves the world a drabber place. However, in the case of two recently departed Jeffreys Bay stalwarts, it should be said their lives left their Eastern Cape hometown a far brighter one.

Stephen Bibb was an artist and surfer who died riding the waves at Boneyards last month, while Johan Deysel was, as a eulogy posted on social media described him, "a living example of what it means to love your community and to serve others selflessly".

Both were involved in the not-for-profit initiative Jeffreys Bay - Town of Dreams that works hand in hand with the Kouga municipality to maintain facilities and beautify some of the town's foremost tourist attractions.
