So why on earth does the ANC wants to centralise everything? Why is the Human Rights Commission so quiet on this matter? It is the department of health's duty to supply quality health care to all citizens. They do get a budget from Treasury to do just that.
Citizens belonging to a medical aid take some pressure off government to supply quality health care for all. Medical aids are not just for the rich. Middle-class working people also want the best for their families and sacrifice a lot to be able to pay their membership fees.
