MIXED FORTUNES: BULLS AND SHARKS LOSE, LIONS KEEP THE FLAG FLYING
There were contrasting emotions 100km apart on Saturday evening in Gauteng as the Bulls lost to Bristol and the Lions beat Lyon in their respective European cup games.
And overseas, in a wet and cold Manchester, the Sharks went down to their namesakes, Sale Sharks.
Johan Ackermann's Bulls have now lost seven straight games in all competitions after losing a high-scoring match at Loftus, 61-49 to Bristol.
The Bulls, with 10 Springboks in their run-on side, are bottom of their pool in the Champions Cup with one match remaining, against Pau in France this weekend.
