COLOURFUL bunting fluttered, vintage costumes were modelled and wartime stories were shared at a Northumberland attraction as part of its VE Day 80 celebrations.
Cresswell Pele Tower paid a heart-warming tribute to the spirit and resilience of those who lived through the 1940s on Sunday.
The afternoon was filled with joyous moments that brought history back to life in a truly special way. Visitors were greeted by the sight of 1940s' sweethearts, lovingly re-enacting that magical moment of reunion when men returned home from the war.
