UEFA has made a late change to squad regulations for European competitions - just days before the Champions League kicks off with overlooked Premier League stars set to benefit.

The prestigious tournament begins next week and will feature an unprecedented six English teams, thanks to an improved coefficient that allows five teams to qualify through their domestic finish.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle United will be joined by Europa League winners Tottenham.
The Magpies return to Europe's top competition after a season without any midweek football and their 2025/26 campaign kicks off with a mouthwatering clash at home to Barcelona next week.
And now it has been revealed that Newcastle and their fellow Champions League representatives from England in Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal will be allowed to change their registered squads throughout the group stage.
