Strike dates set over pay dispute with defence firm

STAFF AT LEONARDO UK PLAN TO WALK OUT NEXT MONTH
STAFF at an aerospace factory in Newcastle are set to strike in November amid an ongoing pay dispute.
Over 3000 Unite union members from leading defence company Leonardo UK will walk out next month over the issue.
The facilities in England and Scotland will both be impacted, with workers in Newcastle and Edinburgh striking between November 5 and 6, and again between November 10 and 18, with union officials saying staff were refused a better deal after declining an initial offer of 3.2%, which is said to represent a real-terms pay cut.
