Police continue their probe into ‘shooting’ at car wash

POLICE are continuing an investigation into an alleged shooting in County Durham.

Durham Constabulary were called to reports of shots being fired at Lanchester Hand Car Wash, just before 7.30pm on Monday, August 11, and it is alleged a car pulled into the business before a man in his 50s was shot, causing injuries to his chest, face, forehead and eye.
On Tuesday, August 12, a man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, with officers appealing for witnesses to come forward.
