Historic stately home wrecked by massive fire

A MAJOR fire has caused massive damage to a stately home in Shotley Bridge, County Durham.
Shotley Park in County Durham appears gutted by a fire which broke out on Sunday night
Smoke could be seen billowing into the sky in the village as a result of the blaze at Shotley Park at around 10.20pm on Sunday.
Five fire engines were at the scene during the peak of the incident, and a road closure was put in place on the nearby A694. Dramatic pictures from the scene capture crews responding to the fire using a aerial ladder platform.
