FREE WALK-IN ATTRACTION KICKS OFF HALF-TERM ACTIVITIES

AN extraordinary inflatable 'village' of sculptures - making up a giant colourful playground - is a new focal point in Blyth town centre, where the visiting attraction is helping to kick off a vibrant programme of events set to attract families this half-term.

Luminarium is the creation of world-renowned artist Alan Parkinson, who is from Darlington but now lives in France and who set up the company Architects of Air, which makes his immersive walk-in installations.

Alan was in Northumberland on Friday when his latest Luminarium design, Myriad, made a Blyth debut.
