Four bikes seized as police crack down on nuisance riders

A COASTAL crackdown has seen one person arrested, four bikes seized and a number of drivers stopped.
Officers from Northumbria Police’s Motorcycle and Operation Dragoon teams carried out targeted patrols in Blyth and North Tyneside on Tuesday, May 6, after recent report of anti-social driving.
The activity led to teams seizing four motorbikes from riders believed to be linked to criminality and anti-social behaviour.
Other vehicles were also stopped for being driven in an anti-social manner.
In one case, a rider was stopped after being spotted driving in an anti-social manner on The Links in Whitley Bay. Vehicle checks revealed they had no licence or insurance.
