THE dad of a Whitley Bay fairground worker who passed away after sustaining serious head injuties in a tragic accident has made a plea for the removal of a video showing his son’s death from social media.

While he has been grieving the loss of his beloved son Corrie, Lee Stavers has now been confronted with the harrowing footage.

The video, which shows the shocking accident that killed Corrie Lee Stavers, has been posted on Facebook and viewed over 11,000 times.

The footage has also been seen on TikTok, with just under 1,000 views, something which shook the already heartbroken Lee to his core.

He said: “We had Corrie’s funeral, which was a lovely service, and we were away on a holiday we had previously booked as people told me I needed some time away from everything.

“It was just a couple of days in on Wednesday that I was messaged by a friend who told me they had been sent the video.

“Other people told me it had been sent directly to them, and I couldn't believe it when I saw it, my mental health was already on the floor but it was so shocking.

“I then saw that it had been shared on a Facebook page and had been viewed thousands of times, and I just became absolutely furious.
