Cordero loan deal scrapped by Magpies

United have recalled Antonio Cordero from an ill-fated loan spell with KVC Westerlo.Cordero arrived from Malaga on a Bosman deal last summer after Newcastle fought off interest from Barcelona.
The idea was for the 19-year-old to play in the Belgian Pro League ona regular basis, build up experience and return to Tyneside next preseason aiming to challenge Eddie Howe's first-team.
But Newcastle cancelled the loan deal for Cordero after he failed to start a league or cup game and played just 102 minutes since the summer. Cordero is likely to head out on loan again, with Cadiz one of the options on the table for the teenager.
