'Consistent' Cats delight boss Le Bris

Le Bris hailed a consistent effort from his Sunderland side over the past year ahead of Sunday's clash with Leeds United.An impressive 2025 saw the Black Cats promoted back into the Premier League in May with victory over Sheffield United in the Championship playoff final.

Sunderland have so far enjoyed their topflight return, sitting sixth in the table with 27 points from 17 games, and Le Bris praised the “quality” of his group.

Asked about his most memorable moment of the year, Le Bris said: “2025, we still have one game to play so we'll see!

“I think the full year was really positive because we are talking about consistency, so we had good moments, but I think the main point is probably the ability to stay consistent as a club, as a coaching staff, as a group and you can get results like that.
