Cats maintain home record but are tested

The Black Cats maintained their unbeaten home record and the result left Regis Le Bris' men in seventh spot in the Premier League table after a difficult game against their fellow promoted side.

Simon Adingra scored his first goal since arriving on Wearside to put the hosts in front, but Leeds levelled two minutes after the break when Dominic Calvert-Lewin neatly finished off a fine team move to score for the sixth game running.

Sunderland were forced into a defensive reshuffle after centre-half Dan Ballard was ruled out of the game with an ankle issue, with Le Bris opting to hand Dennis Cirkin his Premier League debut. The left-back has been missing through injury, but came in for his first start of the season.
