Black Cats 'refocused' on big derby

SUNDERLAND captain Granit Xhaka says the players are already refocusing on the Wear-Tyne derby as he sent a strong message to rivals Newcastle United.

The Black Cats lost in the Premier League on Saturday, slipping to a 3-0 defeat against title-chasing Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
It was a frustrating afternoon for Regis Le Bris' men, who had their chances but ultimately found City too clinical. The result leaves them eighth in the Premier League table.
Newcastle moved to within one point of their rivals with a 2-1 win over Burnley, setting up this weekend's derby clash nicely. It is the first time the two clubs have met in the league for eight years.
