16 men plead guilty to violent disorder at the home of John Henry Sayers

A TOTAL OF 25 MEN WERE CHARGED AFTER A VIOLENT DISTURBANCE AT SAYERS’ HOME IN BYKER IN 2022

SIXTEEN men have admitted taking part in a violent disturbance at the home of John Henry Sayers.

The dad was said to be at home with his children when the disturbance happened at around 4.20pm on June 16, 2022.

It was reported to police that several windows and parked vehicles at the property, on the Fossway in Byker, Newcastle, had been damaged. A total of 25 men were later charged with violent disorder.

Now 16 of them have pleaded guilty to the offence. Seven men denied the allegation and will stand trial next year while the charge has not yet been put to two defendants.
