Akinale community in Ogun State witnessed a historic moment on Monday, June 30, 2025, as His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Oluseyi Adewole Ayodeji Adediran (CIAP, ANIMN), officially received the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment as the new Towulade of Owu Akinale—Otileta I.
The ceremony, held in the heart of Akinale town, was presided over by the Ogun State government and signified the formal ascension of Oba Adediran to the revered traditional stool, following the passing of the late monarch, Oba (Dr.) Olufemi Ogunleye, who joined his ancestors on June 19, 2024.

Ganiyu Hamzat, praised the peaceful, transparent selection process that brought Oba Adediran to the throne. He noted that the process complied with the Ogun State Obas and Chiefs' Law of 2021 and the customs of Akinale.
