The Managing Director of Mickey Excellency Nigeria Limited, Otunba Abdulazeez Babatunde Mukaila, has called on the Nigerian government to redefine the role of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), warning that the Service must evolve beyond revenue collection to combat modern security threats.

Reacting to concerns raised by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, about the potential impact of the tax reform bill on the Service, Mukaila stressed that Customs duties should go beyond tax collection to include counter-terrorism, anti-smuggling, and national security enforcement.
