Access Bank has confirmed its readiness to exit the Central Bank of Nigeria's (CBN) regulatory forbearance framework by June 30, 2025, as the lender moves to assure investors of continued dividend payments and regulatory compliance.
-
In an official statement released on Wednesday and signed by Sunday Ekwochi, Company Secretary of Access Holdings Plc, the bank said it is fully aligned with the CBN's June 13 directive, which temporarily restricts dividend payments, executive bonuses, and offshore investments for lenders under regulatory forbearance.
"The bank will comply with the apex bank's directive by June 30, 2025, while maintaining strong capital buffers and paying dividends to its shareholders," the company said.
