The industrial policy of the Gujarat government, launched in August 2020 to provide Rs 40,000 crore in subsidies to industries over five years, demonstrates its dedication to positioning the state as a global business destination, according to stakeholders. The policy, applicable for five years since its initiation, assures an annual outlay of Rs 8,000 crore, indicating substantial support for industries. This information was shared in anticipation of the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit scheduled for 10-12 January 2024, in Gandhinagar.
The summit is a platform for business networking, knowledge sharing, and strategic partnerships to foster inclusive growth and sustainable development.
The state’s industrial policy is effectively progressing towards its mission to promote entrepreneurship and innovation through inclusive and balanced regional development, world-class infrastructure, and initiatives aimed at facilitating the business environment and enhancing export competitiveness.
