UNION COMMERCE MINISTER URGES AUTO INDUSTRY TO SET 50% EXPORT SHARE TARGET

The auto industry should not limit itself to achieving a 25% export share and instead aim for at least 50% export share, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Mr Piyush Goyal said at the curtain raiser event of Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024.

As an export hub, India's contribution to the world is increasing rapidly with a share of vehicles being exported from 14% presently to about 25% of all passenger vehicles produced in India by 2030. Similarly, about 30% of Two-Wheelers produced in India are expected to be exported by 2030.
Scheduled to be held on February 1-3 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, EEPC India is anchoring the Bharat Mobility Global Expo Industry and, the Ministry of Heavy Industries. Various shareholder industry bodies are also supporting the initiative.
