Trump's Defeat on the Turf of Global Politics
The Business Guardian
|September 06, 2025
This week, India has demonstrated to the global community that its firm commitment to the policy of strategic autonomy and the philosophy of Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam can foster a positive transformation in international politics, where the hegemonic dominance or intimidation by any nation will not be accepted.
In this multipolar world characterized by intricate interdependence, India has not only successfully realigned with China following the recent SCO Summit, but it is also evident that this era does not belong to either China or the US, but rather to India, as articulated by the German Foreign Minister, Johann Wadephul, this week, who remarked that for Germany, Asia signifies India.
He further emphasized that India should view the EU as an ally, highlighting that both India and the EU are part of the same team.
This statement was made during his official visit to India this week. He has also thanked India for its efforts to bring peace in the Russia-Ukraine war.
Similarly, the President of Finland has voiced his profound discontent regarding the actions taken by Trump against India during a press conference he held alongside the President of Lithuania.
Stubb, the President of Finland, is regarded as a close associate of Trump.
Additionally, the Prime Minister of Singapore, who was in India for a three-day visit this week, also reaffirmed his steadfast support for India as the prominent voice of the Global South.
India and Singapore further solidified their partnership by signing significant MOUs, including one on digital asset management and another on semiconductors.
Meanwhile, numerous economists, trade advisors, former national security advisors, and geo-strategists from the US have also expressed their concerns and discontent regarding Trump's recent policies towards India.
While India has effectively asserted its influence within the SCO, prompting leaders such as Xi to publicly denounce the threat of terrorism, the world has expressed disapproval of Trump's inconsistent and fluctuating statements.
