Satyendra Jain granted five weeks interim bail extension

On Monday, The Supreme Court extended for five weeks the interim bail given to Satyendra Jain on medical grounds in a money laundering case, observing that he has undergone surgery and needs time to recover.

A bench of Justices AS Bopanna and Bela M Trivedi extended interim bail to Satyendra Jain and listed the matter for 21 August. Senior Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for Jain, apprised the court that Jain has undergone a spine operation and needs time to recover. He sought an extension of his interim bail.
