Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday charted a roadmap for the further development of the Indian textile industry with focus on tradition, technology, talent and training, enhanced collaboration among various stakeholders within the textile sector so that a comprehensive resolution can be achieved to further the development of the industry.

The positive, stable and far-sighted Government policies have had a positive impact, according to him, with valuation of the Indian textiles market crossing Rs 12 lakh crore from less than Rs 7 lakh crore in 2014.
