No compromise on free power: Atishi
The Business Guardian
|June 28, 2023
After the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission issued a notice approving an increase in Power Purchase Adjustment Charges (PPAC) for power companies, Atishi Marlena, the Power Minister of Delhi, reassured the people of Delhi that those who receive free electricity will continue to enjoy it.
-
She stated, “I want to assure the people of Delhi that this change will not affect those who receive free electricity. They will still be able to enjoy free electricity for up to 200 units.” The PPAC charges are based on coal and gas prices and are separate from regular electricity charges, but they are included in consumers’ electricity bills.
