In a recent release of the Hurun Global Rich List Lfor 2024, significant shifts in the global wealth landscape have come to light, showcasing the remarkable gains of Indian business magnates Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani.
Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, has retained his title as Asia's wealthiest individual, with a net worth of USD 115 billion. Despite experiencing a 40% increase in wealth, Ambani slipped one spot globally to secure the 10th position. Notably, his extravagant pre-wedding celebrations for his youngest son, Anant Ambani, earlier this month garnered widespread attention.
Meanwhile, Gautam Adani, the founder of the Adani Group, saw an astonishing surge in wealth, amounting to USD 33 billion this year. With a net worth of USD 86 billion, Adani climbed to the 15th position in the global rankings. The surge in Adani's wealth is attributed to a rally in his companies' shares following a Supreme Court verdict related to issues raised in the Hindenburg report.
