MODI TO LAUNCH RAPIDX PROJECT INDIA'S FIRST ON OCT 20

The RapidX trains will feature six coaches, one of which will be a premium coach equipped with distinct entry and exit points on platforms. The exact fare structure for RapidX is yet to be disclosed and will be announced in the near future

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the priority section of RapidX, India’s first regional rapid transit system (RRTS), on October 20. The priority section, covering 17 km, will run between Duhai and Sahibabad and will include five stations: Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, and Duhai Depot. Notably, commuters at the Ghaziabad RapidX Station will be able to connect to the Delhi Metro’s red line at Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda) station via a footover bridge. During this event, PM Modi is also expected to flag off the first RapidX RRTS train in Ghaziabad.
