Karnataka HC puts interim stay on State gov’s order banning RSS to hold

The Dharwad bench of the Karnataka High Court on Tuesday put an interim stay on the State government's order declaring gatherings of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in government premises with more than 10 people illegal without permission.
A single-judge bench of Justice M Nagaprasanna heard a petition filed by the Punashthen Seva Sanstha of Hubballi. Senior advocate Ashok Haranahalli, appearing for the petitioner, said that the government has ordered that permission should be obtained for gatherings of more than ten people. He termed ita restriction on the fundamental right guaranteed by the Constitution.
