India leads AI adoption, 59% of businesses using it

A recent study conducted by IBM has revealed that Indian companies are at the forefront of adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

The IBM Global AI Adoption Index 2023 report indicates that approximately 59% of enterprise-scale organizations surveyed in India are actively leveraging AI in their business operations.
This demonstrates a significant uptake of AI technology within the Indian business landscape.
The study highlights that early adopters in India are leading the way in AI integration, with 74% of these enterprises having accelerated their investments in AI over the past 24 months.
These investments have been particularly focused on areas such as research and development (R&D) and workforce reskilling, reflecting a proactive approach towards leveraging AI for innovation and efficiency.
