Domestic natural gas to maintain $6.5 per mmBtu rate

In July 2023, the Oil Ministry’s notification stated that the domestic price of natural gas would remain unchanged at $6.5 per mmBtu (million metric British thermal units).

Similarly, in June, the domestic gas prices were also $6.5 per mmBtu. The government’s notified domestic gas price applies to natural gas produced from the legacy and oil fields of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) and Oil India Limited (OIL).
