CM Yogi sets guidelines for upcoming festivals

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently reviewed preparations for upcoming festivals and the Kanwar Yatra in the state.

In an official release, CM Yogi provided essential directions and amenities to ensure smooth and peaceful celebrations. He emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order during this sensitive period and urged the public to be cautious and alert.
The month of Shravan, starting from July 4, holds special significance in Uttar Pradesh, with festivals like Shravani Shivratri, Nagpanchami and Rakshabandhan being celebrated during this time. These festivals have deep religious and cultural roots and attract a large number of devotees. The traditional Kanwar Yatra, where devotees carry holy water from the Ganges River to offer it to Lord Shiva, also takes place during this month. Additionally, Bakrid, the festival of sacrifice, is celebrated on June 29. Given the sensitivity of this period in terms of law and order, CM Yogi stressed the importance of constant vigilance and carefulness.
