Adani enhances market standing, secures 7 GW Khavda project

Adani Energy Solutions limited (AESL) announced on 28 December that it has secured a letter of intent (Lol) to acquire Halvad Transmission from PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL). Halvad Transmission, a special-purpose vehicle established by PFCCL, is dedicated to evacuating 7 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy (RE) from the Khavda RE park in Gujarat.

The transmission project, spanning 301 kilometres (656 circuit kilometres or ckm), will be built, owned, operated, and maintained by AESL for 35 years, with an investment of Rs 3,000 crore. The company, having won the project through tariff-based competitive bidding, aims to commission it within the next 24 months.
