94% parents concerned about Child's mental health from smartphone use

The mobile device manufacturer vivo and Cybermedia Research, 94% of parents are extremely concerned about the mental health of their kids as a result of their exposure to cellphones, and 91% of them want some restrictions on their access.

A 1500-person study by vivo Switch Off Research found that smartphone use has become a significant part of parents’ daily lives and has even impacted their relationships with their children. The survey included 1000 parents and 500 children. As per the study, parents use smartphones for an average of 7.7 hours every day and 90 per cent get irritated when kids ask for something while they are immersed in their smartphones.
