Marcos to Congress: Prioritize Anti-Dynasty Bill, 3 other measures

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has directed senators and congressmen to prioritize the passage of the Anti-Dynasty Bill along with three other proposed legislative measures.

Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro announced on Tuesday, Dec. 9, that Marcos met with the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) earlier that morning to emphasize the urgency of passing the measures.

“The President directed Congress to prioritize the following proposed legislative measures: the Anti-Dynasty Bill, the Independent People’s Commission Act, the Party-list System Reform Act, and the Citizens Access and Disclosure of Expenditures for National Accountability (CADENA) Act, which seeks to institutionalize transparency and accountability in public finance,” Castro said.
