The Philippine women's football team head coach Mark Torcaso was over the moon seeing his charges march to the 33rd Southeast Asian Games gold medal match especially after the team was easily doubted following the early loss to Myanmar.
The Nationals pulled off a dramatic victory over Thailand in the semifinals, beating the host team 4-2 via penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in the regulation and extra time.
