More new businesses set up in North East while fewer go bust

There has been big jump in the number of new businesses being set up in the North East - and a fall in the number going bust, according to new figures.

Data from company finance specialists Creditsafe shows 1,569 new businesses were set up in the region in July - a 12.9% increase on the 1,390 in same month last year.
