A popular city music group is staging its first free concert of this season with a spring spectacular.

Sunderland Symphony Orchestra is performing a free spring concert.
Sunderland Symphony Orchestra's (SSO) hugely-successful 25th anniversary season saw every concert last year sell out, with events free but ticketed.
The group is hoping for another great turnout as they begin their 26th season, with a spring concert, titled 'Classical Classics,' to be held on Saturday, March 21, at St Gabriel's Church, near Sunderland Royal Hospital.
Musical director of SSO, David Milner, said: "We are an orchestra that listens to our audience.
