New life is being breathed into a 10,000sq ft city centre building as part of a major £1m investment.
Sunderland property developer Darryl Cullerton has built a multi-million-pound property portfolio over the years, often by taking forgotten buildings and repurposing them for future use.
And work is forging ahead on one of his biggest city centre projects: the former Mason Amusement site in Holmeside.
Darryl and his team at Lemon Property Investment Limited is five months into the redevelopment project, which has seen the installation of a new roof, new windows, full electrical and plumbing works, rendering the front of the building and a total reconfigure of the space.
