VERUSHKA Singh has been crowned Mrs South Africa. According to the pageant, Singh is the first South African Indian to win the title.

“We're thrilled to have broken that barrier, and celebrate the significance of this milestone. Standing confidently and proudly, she embraces the spotlight and owns her story. Now we start building a new legacy,” organisers said.
She takes over the coveted title from last year's winner, Erin-Jane Miller.
The 39-year-old Johannesburg resident and mom of one plans to use her reign to inspire awareness and meaningful conversations around climate change and sustainable living.
Singh works as a climate change consultant and holds a chemical engineering degree from the University of the Witwatersrand.
