JAMES WADE set up a World Masters quarterfinal showdown with Gian van Veen after knocking out Gary Anderson by holding his nerve in a deciding leg.

Wade came from 2-0 down to level the match at 2-2 with a trademark 120 finish.

He then took advantage of the Scotsman bursting his score in the final leg to win the deciding set in straight legs.

“It was just a scrap, wasn't it?” said Wade.

“Hard work, hard battle. Just fortunate enough to come out the other side and be the one that's got the win.

“When he's at his absolute prime, he's the second-best darts player on the planet.
